Bramble Snood

Design BF017 · Bramble & Fleece Autumn/Winter Collection

Worked in five complementary shades of Bramble & Fleece Wooltrace DK, this colourwork snood features a bold, eye-catching design that showcases beautiful stitch definition and careful craftsmanship. Its generous width provides warmth and comfort, making it a beautiful and rewarding project for experienced knitters.

Bramble is the signature piece of the collection and shares its palette with the matching Bramble Hat, so the two make a natural set. Because only the main shade is needed in quantity and the four accents in 25g amounts, it is an excellent way to use leftovers from a larger Wooltrace project.

Which yarn does the Bramble Snood use?

Bramble is written for Bramble & Fleece Wooltrace DK, a 100% British Romney DK at 225m per 100g hank, traceable to the farm by QR code. Romney's crisp handle is what keeps five-colour work this legible — the motif stays sharp rather than softening into the ground. You need one full hank of the main shade and only small amounts of the four accent shades.

Does it match the Bramble Hat?

Yes. The Bramble Hat is designed in matching shades and the same colourwork idiom, so the snood and hat can be knitted as a set from a shared set of hanks.

This is a digital knitting pattern supplied as a PDF download in English, with a colour chart, UK and US needle sizes and both metric and imperial measurements. Yarn and needles are sold separately.
