Malham Sweater
Design BF010 · Bramble & Fleece Autumn/Winter Collection
Malham Sweater features a classic cable stitch pattern. A slim-fitting V-neck sweater worked in Bramble & Fleece Wooltrace 4 Ply, it is a timeless, wearable piece you will reach for time and time again.
This is a fine-gauge cable at 36 stitches to 10cm, which is what gives Malham its close, elegant fit rather than the bulk cables usually bring. The cable is a straightforward six-stitch front cross worked on a cable needle, repeated across the body and sleeves.

Which yarn does the Malham Sweater use?
Malham is written for Bramble & Fleece Wooltrace 4 Ply, a 100% British Bluefaced Leicester fingering weight at 220m per 50g hank, traceable to the farm by QR code. You will need 6 to 9 hanks depending on size.
How long will it take?
This is a fine-gauge garment, so it is a longer commitment than a DK or Aran sweater — expect a project you live with for a few weeks. The reward is a sweater with the drape and definition only 4 ply cables give.
This is a digital knitting pattern supplied as a PDF download in English, with UK and US needle sizes and both metric and imperial measurements. Yarn and needles are sold separately.
