Origin 011 is the DK weight of the naturally grey Bluefaced Leicester and Gotland blend. The Gotland fibre arrives silvery grey rather than white, so this base has a colour of its own before you do anything to it - and dyeing over that grey gives results no white base can produce. Colours come out softened, complex and slightly dusty, which is exactly the palette a lot of dyers are chasing at the moment.
Perfect for jumpers, cardigans, hats and blankets at standard DK gauge. Gotland brings a light sheen and a gentle halo, which flatters plain stocking stitch and softens the look of simple shaping.
