Fibreknit is not spun in the usual sense. Instead of twisting the fibre, Bramble & Fleece knit it into a fine chainette tube, which traps air and produces a yarn that is far lighter than its thickness suggests. The result is a chunky fabric with real loft and almost none of the weight you would normally carry on your shoulders at 8mm. The chainette structure also resists pilling better than a conventional plied chunky, because there are fewer loose fibre ends working their way to the surface.
Perfect for hoods, vests, scarves and quick-knit outerwear where you want warmth without bulk. It comes in five of the favourite Sheepsoft heathered shades, and because the construction is smooth and rounded rather than tightly twisted, stitch definition is unusually good for a yarn this heavy - ribbing and simple texture read clearly.
