A deep V-neck sweater featuring an all-over large cable stitch. This is a soft, cosy sweater you will fall in love with. Worked in Bramble & Fleece Sheepsoft Fibreknit, it is a textured, detailed and heritage-inspired knit for intermediate-level makers.
Big cables at a chunky gauge give Orchid real presence, and because Fibreknit is a lightweight chainette rather than a densely spun yarn, the sweater has all that sculptural texture without the weight a chunky cable garment usually carries. Graded across nine sizes to a 158cm chest.

Which yarn does the Orchid Sweater use?
Orchid is written for Bramble & Fleece Sheepsoft Fibreknit, 100% British wool knitted into a fine chainette tube rather than spun. At roughly 65m per 50g ball you will need 11 to 21 balls depending on size, so check your size before ordering.
What techniques does it use?
Four-stitch cables front and back worked on a cable needle, deep V-neck decreases, and standard shaping. Special abbreviations for C4B and C4F are written out in full, along with a complete abbreviations table.
